Summary This was our first big hiking trip. We were only supposed to cover about 16 miles that weekend, but after Friday night, I think we covered more like 18. That's right, we got lost in the dark! It was a true struggle to have walked through the mud pits once (where Ben and Sam both fell), and then know that we had to go through them again, but you do what you got to. We also got up the worse hill in the world (or so we thought so at the time), but found a golden palace waiting for us. Actually it was just a log shelter, but still that's better than having to set up the tent. Over the next few days we hiked through some great forest. We also had a great fire on Saturday night. We looked at the stars, played mind games, and went for a nature hike. JJ (an Adventure Studies Graduate) came out and led a group. He also made an amazing cheesecake for us all. Jamie and Steph risked their lives to go to the bathroom at night, and Ben and Chris just laughed at them. On Sunday we finished our trip, with another great day of hiking. Except Pankuch took his group on a little extra trail, with a lot of hills! It was tough, but everyone pulled through and became a strong person because of it, I mean everyone is still alive so that tells you something. Awards For Kettle Moraine South Stupidity
